Hey Lincoln Families~ A&A has an opportunity for you and you don't have to travel to be part of the experience!

Lincoln welcomes students from other schools & countries throughout the year. One INCREDIBLY meaningful way we can welcome them is through the homestay experience!.

Open your home. Share a meal. Meet someone new. Give visiting students the chance to experience Buenos Aires and Lincoln through a local family.

And you don't have to have a child traveling to participate…
Any Lincoln family can become a homestay family!

Families interested in hosting for the experience, or on behalf of another Lincoln family, can express interest on the above form.

Note: students who wish to be considered for participation in an international A&A event, homestay hosting IS a requirement… (more details included on the A&A Student Contract)

THE A&A PULSE: keeping you in the loop

Our A&A Parent Coffee will take place on Tuesday, Sept 15 from 8:15-9am in the Cafeteria Fishbowl.

The Student Contract is an important commitment for students who want to be considered for A&A travel opportunities or participation in international events hosted by Lincoln. It is designed to make expectations clear from the beginning and to ensure that students and families understand what is expected when representing Lincoln.

During the Parent Coffee, we will walk through the contract and explain:

• What the contract means for students and families
• What students are agreeing to before being selected
• How academic and behavioral expectations factor into travel and event participation
• What happens if expectations are not met
• How the selection and waitlist process works
• How parents will be informed throughout the process

Every student who wants to be considered for A&A travel or participation in international events will be required to sign the contract prior to selection.

We hope you can join us on September 15 for an opportunity to better understand the expectations, ask questions, and make sure everyone is clear on the process before students begin being considered for these opportunities.

As always, we are excited about the range of opportunities planned for our students this year. Travel and international event opportunities include:

SEMESTER 1

🏅 MS Friendship - Soccer + Volleyball (October 28-30 at Lincoln, Argentina)
🎵 SAAC Fine Arts Music (November 4-8 at FDR, Peru)
🇺🇳 SAAC Model United Nations (November 18-22 at Nido, Chile)
🏃 Cross Country (November 18-22 at Nido, Chile)
🏐 SAAC Volleyball (November 18-22 at UAS, Uruguay)
⚽ SAAC Soccer (December 2-6 at ISC, Brazil)
🏊 SAAC Swimming (December 2-6 at Graded, Brazil)

SEMESTER 2

🎨 SAAC Fine Arts (March 31-April 4 at Lincoln, Argentina)
🎻 AMIS (March 31-April 4 at Nido, Chile)
🏀 SAAC Basketball (April 14-18 at Nido, Chile)
🎾 SAAC Tennis (April 14-18 at FDR, Peru)
🏃Track and Field (April 14-18 at ASQ, Ecuador)
🏅 MS Friendship - Soccer + Basketball (TBD)

Travel with A&A is about more than competition. Students are representing Lincoln and we want every student selected to understand the responsibility and privilege that comes with that opportunity.

 

Teacher’s Day! 

This Friday, September 11, we celebrate Teacher’s Day! 🍎Thanks to all the amazing educators who support our students, both inside and outside the classroom! Note: there will be no Saturday A&A activities this week.
We hope everyone enjoys the long holiday weekend and, most importantly, takes a moment to express your appreciation and love to the teachers and coaches who make such a difference in your child’s life. Whether they are teaching in a classroom, on a court… field… stage…  in a pool, their time, care, and dedication help our students learn, grow, and thrive. Happy Teacher’s Day to all of our wonderful Lincoln teachers and coaches!
