Teacher Appreciation Day Thank You

On behalf of all of the Elementary School staff, we’d like to share a thank you with the community and PAL for celebrating us on Wednesday and offering such tasty and delicious treats!

Reading Week Success

We hope your children enjoyed the reading week activities this week! On Monday, students from middle school visited elementary school to read with their younger buddies. We also had a mystery door decorating contest where each room decorated their door with a character, author, or title of the book for the rest of the school to guess. The book fair was open all week, and on Thursday we had a special dress-up day for students and teachers to come in their pajamas so they could “snuggle up with a book”.  Thank you to the teachers, especially Ms. Melissa, Mr. Carlos, and Dr. Faze for organizing fun and inspirational activities to encourage a love of reading.

ES Olympics: A Fun and Exciting Experience for All

On October 9th, our students will explore the Olympic spirit in a fun and playful way. Throughout this special event, students will develop leadership, teamwork, and a strong sense of fair play. The main goal is to enjoy the experience together as a team, rather than focusing on winning or losing. The activities will include relay races, games, sports, and lots of laughter! Parents are encouraged to join, more information will be sent in upcoming weekly newsletters.

Spring Day

Spring Day is a traditional celebration in Argentina where the teachers celebrate the arrival of spring with their students. In keeping with tradition, our Spanish teachers will use their Spanish class time on Friday, September 18 to have a small picnic with some outdoor games for the students. Students are welcome to bring something sweet or savory to share with their classmates. Parents do not need to prepare anything for this event, just make sure your child has a water bottle with them that day and if you want to, you can send in some food to share with their class.

MAP Test Results

We are finishing up with the elementary MAP Test make-ups this week. All of the MAP student reports will be sent to parents automatically after the testing window finishes for the whole school (ES, MS, and HS) and all of the make-ups are complete. The HS testing window is scheduled to close September 18 so you should expect to receive the report to your email  shortly after that.

For more information about it, please watch the recording of the parent information night from last year: Parent Info Session MAP Tests
