Family Reading Time

Do you have a family reading time? A time for everyone to put their devices away, and read together? It could be a read-aloud, it could be a chapter book you are reading together, it could be everyone reading their own books by themselves, but in the same space. Taking time to read as an adult is a great way to encourage your kids to read more. No books? There is a PAL book exchange in the basement of the mansion. You’ll find so many treasures there!

Extended Essay Writing Session for Grade 11 Students

The library hosted a half-day writing session for Grade 11 students, providing focused time to dedicate to their extended essays. Building on their completed research and annotated bibliographies, students created detailed outlines that will help them be successful when they begin to write their 4,000-word essay. The EE session is a glimpse into the organization skills essential for academic writing, skills that can be transferred to future projects and assignments.  

MS International Battle of the Books

The MS Battle of the Books teams are well into the competition! Among the teams, members have read most of the 10 books, and over the past couple of weeks, we have been meeting to take practice Kahoot quizzes, testing their knowledge of the books. These quizzes will better prepare students for the actual competition that will take place in May. Good luck to our Reading Condors!
