Dr. Nada Collins shares Lincoln updates to celebrate our community.

SUPERINTENDENTS' MESSAGE

Hello, Lincoln Community. I hope you all had a great first full week back to school. April is Poetry Month. In honor of Poetry Month, I wanted to share a little bit about Lincoln's news, our happenings, our upcoming events, and our celebrations through poem. With thanks to my collaborator chatGPT. In the midst of trivia’s glow, where knowledge streams and facts do flow,

We celebrate poetry's bloom, in verses woven, casting gloom. Beneath the stars, in battles penned, books clash in the mind’s great blend. Reports sent home, a tale untold, of victories won and dreams behold. In Peru, on courts so wide, basketball's passion will coincide. While in Chile, on fields of green, tracks await the swift and keen. At Lincoln's gates, the racquets swing, in the Tennis Invitational’s ring. Across continents,

Passions ignite, in the realms of sport and knowledge’s light. Whether you want to learn and explore a little bit more about poetry or artificial intelligence, I invite you to explore and play a little bit this weekend too, and create your own poems to summarize your week that's past or your week ahead. I also wanted to celebrate with you that just before the holidays, I, along with five of our teachers here at Lincoln, traveled to Paraguay to participate in the AMISA conference.

AMISA is American International Schools in the Americas. It's a group of schools like Lincoln from all over our region and even including some from the US that come together and participate in opportunities to learn together to talk about the best practices in education. Five of our faculty, including teachers and teaching assistants, traveled to Paraguay to share the best practices happening here at Lincoln with the global community.

I've included some pictures so you can see that learning in practice, and we're really excited that we are hosting the conference here at Lincoln in October, the Leadership AMISA conference. Thank you and have a great weekend. I hope to see many of you at trivia this evening.
