Dr. Nada Collins shares Lincoln updates to celebrate our community.

SUPERINTENDENTS' MESSAGE

What's up, Lincoln? I hope you've had a great week. We are celebrating our NEASC visit that just completed. The New England Association of Schools and Colleges comes out to accredit our school as a university that is offering the programs that we commit to and that we're fulfilling our contract to you as families and to our learners and to our community around the practices in our classrooms.

They sent a team of four educational leaders from around the region to come here and spend a week talking to students, faculty, administration and teachers. We did a deep dive into our ALLs, attributes of a Lincoln learner. They looked for ways that agent of change, critical thinker and researcher, communicator and self navigator, come to life in our curriculum, but also in our culture and in our community. We look forward to hearing back from them. It takes about six weeks before they send the report to us.

As is true in schools all over the world, over the next few weeks, we are going to have so many opportunities to have you on campus to showcase and celebrate student learning. We have several events that have already occurred.
We had a fantastic high school arts showcase. We've got middle school and elementary planned up ahead. We started off this morning with May Revolution Day. Our elementary students had an assembly in honor of recognizing some of the foundations of Argentine history. We've got June 1st ahead, where we'll have our elephant and piggy Mo Willems’ day Saturday. Please sign up and register below to bring your children to come and participate.

So many other events that are occurring. Our graduation for our seniors next Friday, our moving up ceremonies. And please do make sure that you mark your calendars for June 14th. That is our last day of school and students will be here from 8 to 12. Speaking of graduation, I want to take a few minutes to talk about what it means to be a Lincoln graduate.

Here at Lincoln, we offer our students three diplomas that open doors to them throughout their educational world with some of the best universities and to other opportunities in life. We offer the Lincoln Diploma, which is part of the accreditation process that we just completed to validate our identity as a school that's recognized within the US system. We offer the International Baccalaureate, which is recognized as the rigorous University Preparatory program, and we offer the Argentine diploma another credential to add to their academic profile.

This is a really special moment for our seniors as they complete their time here at Lincoln, and we have a number of events to celebrate, honor and lift up that sense of a full community. We hosted prom last weekend for our juniors and seniors. They had a lovely event and a great time dancing, eating and spending time creating memories together.

Coming up this week ahead, we have the senior tea, which is hosted in my backyard, a tradition at Lincoln that I really adore. We have the senior award ceremony. We have a retreat for our students, a parade where they go through the entire campus and all of our students and our parent community are welcome to celebrate our students as they walk through one final time, culminating on Friday evening with our high school graduation.
It's a very emotional time to say goodbye to our seniors and welcome them in to the next phase of their lives. Thank you so much. And I look forward to seeing you on campus over the next few weeks.
