We want to bring to your attention a recent uptick in viral and bacterial stomach infections among both staff and students at our school. Check out the following precautions.
HEALTH & WELLNESS
THE WELLNESS CENTER
The purpose of the Wellness Center is to offer nursing care in primary assessment and health promotion and prevention in order to encourage students' learning process, reduce absenteeism, as well as to improve the lifestyle and wellbeing of the students and the rest of the Lincoln community. Our team is staffed by four Registered Nurses (RN) who work together with teachers, parents and Lincoln staff to promote wellness in our students and throughout our whole community.
The school nurses are official CPR, AED and First Aid trainers, accredited by Aider. During the school year, they train our teaching and non-teaching staff and offer special workshops about healthcare and prevention.
Wellness is an active process of becoming aware of our needs and making choices toward a healthy and fulfilling life since we are young. As the World Health Organization (WHO) describes, “health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”. Because we are convinced that the search for this balance is crucial for each one of us and our students, our school counts with a Wellness Center and a Wellness Team.
