Dear MS Parents, Students and Staff,
Back to School night:
Thank you to everyone that was able to join us for our back-to-school night last week. In total we welcomed 75 families and enjoyed getting to meet our parent community and the opportunity to share with everyone about our MS program. Please help to plan for future events like this one by completing our parent feedback survey. Even if you were unable to attend, you can complete the survey with your preferences.
At the start of the afternoon we offered a session on accessing Schoology. If you were unable to attend and would like to view a video on how to connect, check out this video by Matt Dolmont, one of our technology facilitators.

We started our semester one MAP testing this week and this will continue over the next couple of weeks during scheduled advisory periods. If you missed the email communication home, you can read the letter that was sent here.
Highlight on Learning
G8 Product Design: Our talented carpenter, Ruben, has been inspiring our 8th-grade students this week. By working closely with our product design classes, he has guided them in mastering the art of precise woodworking cuts. With the skills they've acquired, our students are now ready to embark on a creative project: designing their own automata toys.
We're grateful to Ruben for sharing his expertise and encouraging our young designers.
G8 Multimedia: In the multimedia class, students are delving into the world of animation, experimenting with various flat animation techniques. They're creating characters and backgrounds using a diverse range of artistic methods, including cut-out animation, clay animation, 3D animation, and digital animation. Through these hands-on experiences, students are developing essential animation skills and gaining a deeper appreciation for the art of storytelling through visuals.
