HIGH SCHOOL

Dear HS Community,

It has been an exciting past two weeks, with celebrations and demonstrations of learning across the high school campus, and students are preparing for their final week of exams coming soon.

In the past two weeks we have celebrated the Visual and Performing Arts Showcases, the Theory of Knowledge Exhibition, Student Council Elections, the Academic Awards Assembly, the Senior Parade, and the after-school performance of our students’ interpretation of Mama Mia.

A special congratulations to the Class of 2025 and their families, who celebrated in commencement ceremonies last Friday, May 30th. Our 50 graduates received their diplomas in the presence of over 520 faculty, staff, and guests.  It was a beautiful celebration and a tribute to the legacy of the Lincoln community.

Next week features the final HS assessment schedule for Semester 2, with exams in all core subject areas for students in grade 9-11. Please find the HS Assessment Schedule for 2nd Semester here. Here are a few important reminders:

  • Students must attend each exam as scheduled. Only a doctor’s note can excuse a student from the exam, allowing them to make it up on June 13.
  • Students who have submitted the signed hard copy permission form may arrive later to school, if they do not have a morning exam, and they may leave early following their last exam or following the Study Group Sessions on Tuesday, June 10.
  • Thursday, June 12, all students remain in school until 3:30 pm, for special events following their exams including lunch, yearbook distribution and signing, and fun games sponsored by the Ambassador’s Club and PAL.
  • No School on Friday, June 13th - reserved only for students with make-up exams. If students do not have a make-up exam, they do not attend school on Friday, June 13.
  • Monday, June 16 is a holiday and there is no school.
  • Tuesday, June 17 we will have a 6 period day so that students can receive their results and say goodbye to friends.
  • Wednesday, June 18th, is a half-day for all students and the last day before vacation!

We encourage students to get plenty of rest, eat well, and take a balanced approach to preparing for their exam.  Congratulations on the end of the year and wishing all students success as they demonstrate their learning in the final exams.

We are already looking forward to welcoming the high school students back on campus on August 5th for the start of the 2025-26 school year!

On behalf of all the teachers and staff of the high school, thank you for your ongoing support.

Warmest regards,
