Vacation: October 7-16

There are no classes or activities from October 7-16.  We look forward to seeing students on Monday, October 17. Enjoy some wonderfully enriching time and return to school refreshed and ready for more learning

Elementary Track and Field Olympics

Congratulations to our students for participating in the Olympic challenges put on by our Physical Education team of Ms. Silvi and Mr. Nico.  Thank you to the coaches who helped run the events and to the parents who came out to watch and cheer!  Please look for photos in your children’s newsletters.

Parent Coffee: Online Safety

On Friday, September 30 we held a whole school parent coffee on the topic of Online Safety.  You can find the presentation that was shared here.  Thank you to the parents who attended and a big thanks to Matt Dolmont for his presentation and expertise on the topic.  Many parents have asked for a follow-up to the coffee so we are seeking feedback on specific ideas that we can present on at a second coffee about Online Safety.  Please submit your ideas here so we can plan and prepare.

Goal Setting Conferences on October 27 and 28

We will have student led goal setting conferences on October 27 and 28.  There will be no school or After School Activities on these dates.  Please look for invitations from your child’s teachers once we return from our vacation. Students are expected to attend with their parents.

Overnight adventures - Grades 3 - 5

Thank you to parents who joined us to hear more about the upcoming residential overnight adventures that our grade 3-5 students will embark on in March. Look for more information over the coming weeks.

Fabulous Friday and Parent Coffee - Friday, October 21

On Friday, October 21st at 8AM we have our Fabulous Friday assembly hosted by our Student Leadership groups.  They will get us excited for Spirit Week which begins on October 29 at International Day!  The assembly will be followed immediately by a parent coffee where we will start talking about fostering healthy eating in the elementary school, our changes to our reporting system, and other updates to our year.

Lost and found

As the weather gets warmer, we receive a lot of missing jackets, sweaters. We also receive water bottles and food containers, toys, and accessories. In order to help us return these items to their owners, labeling their belongings is very useful.

Labels sewn on or name stamps work best. Written names tend to fade making them hard to read. Thanks for your support.
