A Reminder about Uniform Policy

Here is a reminder about the uniform policy as the weather gets a little colder.  When it gets really cold and kids need a thick winter coat, we understand that those are not always easy to find in blue and we are flexible with the thick coats students wear to and from school on very cold days. But sweatshirts, sweaters, and jackets should be aligned with the uniform guidelines: plain dark blue without designs or words on them.

Here are the uniform guidelines from our Handbook:

  • Shirts: White or navy blue, long- or short-sleeved polo shirts. All shirts must have the Lincoln school logo.
  • Bottoms: Students need to wear navy blue dress pants, skirts, skorts or mid thigh shorts. Pants/trousers may not have embroidery, patches, decorations, holes or patterns. No denim.
  • Sweaters/Sweatshirts/Hoodies: Any type of plain navy blue material with or without the Lincoln logo. All outer tops should not have embroidery, logos other than the Lincoln logo, patches, decorations, holes or patterns.

Parent Coffee about Smartphones and Social Media

We had an engaging Parent Coffee on Friday morning where we looked at our survey results from our recent Phone and Social Media Usage Elementary Survey and had a discussion about what the implications and next steps could be for our community.

Here is the presentation from the Parent Coffee with all of the data summaries attached to the end of the presentation: ES Parent Coffee  25th April 2025. Please take a look and respond to the survey linked above if you haven’t yet.

Reminder about the two days off of school next week

Please remember that there are two non-school days next week. May 1 is a national holiday and has been marked on the calendar since it was released. May 2 is a “bridge holiday” that was added by the government after our calendar was released so there may be some printed copies on the calendar that do not have that marked as a holiday. Full 2024-2025 Calendar here.

As always, please contact Mr. Derek, Mr. Chris, or any of our elementary team if you have any questions or concerns!
