Swim season started for elementary students

Beginning this past week, Monday, November 15, our students are swimming during their Physical Education classes.  Please remember to send your students’ labeled swim items for their PE classes.  Due to sanitary measures related to the pandemic, we cannot lend out swimming kits to students who forget theirs.

Information about Transitions

As we approach the end of the semester, we know at an international school that there will be people leaving our school to go off to other adventures. This time of year can be overwhelming for the families who are leaving, we want to try and provide support and ideas to help ease the transition. Starting the week of November 29th, the counselors will be meeting with groups of students who are leaving Lincoln. More information will be sent to those families soon.

On November 23rd from 9-9:45 am Lincoln counselors are holding a session for all parents that are leaving Lincoln this school year. Please look out for the Zoom link to be sent via email. We hope if you are leaving you can join us not only to hear the counselors suggestions, but also to have space and time for you parents to share tips with each other.

message from our counselors

The Lincoln Counselors are looking into if we should change the way we offer the parenting program, Active Parenting. We would like to get your feedback. Please complete this survey. The Active Parenting model is largely based upon the theories that include the importance of mutual respect between people, and an emphasis on cognitive-behavioral approaches to change, personal choice, and responsibility. Parenting methods that derive from these theories and that are taught in Active Parenting are: natural and logical consequences, recognizing the goals of behavior, family meetings and problem-solving skills, the importance of encouragement, and much more.
