ES Olympics were a success!

Thanks to our committed physical education department for putting together events for all of our elementary students to play and participate in activities--especially Ms. Silvia Mondria and Mr. Nico Puricelli.  Students and staff enjoyed the time together playing some of their favorite games and being together on the field.  Look in your teacher newsletter for more photos!

ACTIVE PARENTING WORKSHOP

Ms. Cassie and Ms. Julie will be hosting an Active Parenting Workshop for five weeks starting on October 21st. The workshop will be online from 9:00-10:30am between October 21st and November 18th. Most sessions will be held on Thursdays, but one week it will be on a Tuesday.

Active Parenting is a program designed by Dr. Michael Popkin that focuses on positive discipline, communication techniques, building responsibility and understanding/redirecting misbehavior.

Sessions will be as follows:

  • Thursday October 21st, 9:00-10:30am: The Active Parent
  • Tuesday October 26th, 9:00-10:30am: Cooperation and Communication
  • Thursday November 4th, 9:00-10:30am: Responsibility and Discipline
  • Thursday November 11th, 9:00-10:30am: Building Courage and Self-Esteem
  • Thursday November 18th, 9:00-10:30am: Understanding and Redirecting Misbehavior

Each participant will get their own copy of the book “Active Parenting: A Parent’s Guide to Raising Happy and Successful Children” in either English or Spanish. Each week, we will review and discuss a chapter of the book.

We would love for you to join us! Please email Cassie (cassie.doyle@lincoln.edu.ar) or Julie (julie.allison@lincoln.edu.ar) if you’d like to participate. Active participation in all sessions is encouraged.

CHANGE OF DATE OF STUDENT LEARNING CONFERENCES
