The following guidelines are to help us provide a safe and healthy environment for our community.

Keep your child(ren) at home for treatment and observation if:

• Fever above 37,5 C (99,5 F). 
• Vomiting (even once). 
• Diarrhea (even once). 
• Chills. 
• Generally unwell or feelings of fatigue, discomfort. 
• Weakness or muscle aches. 
• Frequent mucus-producing cough. 
• Lots of nasal congestion with frequent blowing of the nose. 

IMPORTANT: If you keep your child at home due to illness, it's essential to notify the school nurses on the first day.

Your child(ren) are welcome at school if they can fulfill the following requirements:

• Been symptom-free for a minimum of 24 hours (from any communicable disease). 
• Is fever free with a temperature below 37.5 (99,5 F) - without the use of fever-reducing medicine (e.g., paracetamol, aspirin, ibuprofen, etc.). 
• Can energetically participate in all school activities as well as outdoor recess. 

Injuries

If your child(ren) suffered an injury (i.e., surgery, hospitalization, use of wheelchair or casts):

You MUST send a copy of the note from your doctor confirming that your child is clear to return to normal activities to the school nurses (nurse@lincoln.edu.ar), before coming back to school.

If there are any restrictions or activity limitations (i.e., exclusion from participating in physical education or recess) or precautions, the doctor’s note must include this information.

Keeping Safety Measures in School

• Stay home if you have symptoms of illness. 
• Wash your hands often or use hand sanitizer. 
• Ventilate shared spaces often. 
• Avoid sharing drinking or eating utensils with others. 
• Inform the school nurses of illness or onset of symptoms. 

For every new school year, we will be soliciting that families turn in a new Health Form Package during the first month of classes at Lincoln in August. This applies to all Lincoln students, new incoming students and students that are already enrolled. Students will have one month after the first day of the school year to turn in their Health Form Package, after this period if students have not turned in the corresponding Health Forms they will not be able to participate in physical activity at school (Physical education classes or certain After School Activities). The date on the Health Forms must be from JUNE of this year onward, any Health Form completed before the month of JUNE will not be valid for the new school year. The documents turned in during this period are valid during the entire school year, therefore, a new Health Form Package will be solicited at the beginning of the next school year. 

All pages of the form should be submitted by:

• Returning students: September 1st. Students who have not submitted the form by this date will not be allowed to participate in PE, after-school activities, or any other activities after the due date. Completed forms should be submitted to ES, MS, HS secretaries, OR the Wellness Center.
• New students: Health Form and the medical/dental certificate must be submitted with the admission package (see the note above). New students may not begin classes at Lincoln until their medical and dental certificate has been submitted. Completed forms should be submitted to Admissions.
