Nature reserve
Nature reserve

This second semester brought much needed good news: students returned to our campus for a hybrid school mode that includes in-person learning. After so many months of distance learning, our students are truly benefitting from their time here at Lincoln, and are showing great cooperation and adaptability to our sanitary protocols. It has been a very heartwarming first week and we couldn't be happier about sharing learning spaces and experiences in this way.

Week two comes with additional good news for our Lincoln community as well as for the greater community: the Vicente López Nature Reserve is reopening to the public! Did you know that Lincoln supports this neighbouring Reserve since 1998? Our school cooperates with local authorities in the Maintenance of this green treasure to make sure it’s in the best conditions. We also help in providing park rangers with materials they need for their work, from computers to medicine cabinets and special attire.

As from tomorrow (Tuesday, February 9th), the Reserve will be open to the public to enjoy its flora and fauna.
Operating hours:
Tuesdays - Fridays: 10.00 a.m.-12.00 p.m.and 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.
Saturdays and Sundays: 10.00 a.m. - 12.00 p.m.
The Nature Reserve will be closed on Mondays and on national holidays.

There is a maximum of 30 people allowed inside the park to allow for the necessary physical distance protocols for COVID-19 transmission prevention. Visitors will be admitted by order of arrival to the Reserve, there is no need to sign up. Everyone will have their temperature checked at the entrance and the use of face masks will be mandatory at all times. There will be a maximum stay of 2 hours once inside the park. We will all be able to enjoy the reserve’s natural beauty and walk along its pathways, but, for now, benches, tables and other gathering areas considered of risk won’t be available.

The park rangers are also looking for volunteers! What a great opportunity to get involved with their work and learn about Ecology. Interested? Sign up by sending an email to voluntarios.revl@gmail.com.
