Lincoln is One of the Saac Swimming and Volleyball Champions!

Our athletes flew to Brazil to participate in a Swimming competition in Sao Paulo and a Volleyball and Cross Country tournament in Curitiba. They secured first place and won more than 30 medals. Learn about the triumphs of our self-navigators. 

In November, middle and high school students had two competitions in Brazil. As members of the South American Activities Conference (SAAC), our learners always have the opportunity to compete with other international schools. This time, they came back victorious! 

One of our delegations went to the SAAC Volley & Cross Country Invitational at the International School of Curitiba. Volleyball boys won first place, and the girls secured third place. Another group went to the SAAC Swimming competition at Graded - The American School of São Paulo. The girls' team came in third place, and the boys in fourth. Overall, our swimmers won over 30 medals!

These trips inspire resilience, develop teamwork, and expand their network with other diverse learning communities. Other events that our Athletics and Activities Department worked on this month were:

• Soccer & Volley Friendship Meet: Our middle school athletes played soccer and volleyball with the Uruguayan American School, the International School of Curitiba, and Scuole CCI! They had four days of sports and bonding! 
• SAAC Soccer 2023: High school learners went to The International School Nido de Aguilas in Chile, where they competed with schools from South America, made new friendships, and challenged themselves! 
• Tennis Friendship Meet: Our middle and high school athletes also had a Friendship Meet with Banade Tennis School to close our tennis season.
