The start of February marks Black History Month. The African diaspora impacted the development of modern multicultural societies worldwide. The purpose of this observance is to draw attention to the historical and cultural contributions of African-descended peoples, as well as awareness of their continued struggle for equality. While the Black History Month observance began in the US, it has also received official recognition in Canada, the UK, Ireland, and the Netherlands. The themes of this month's activities are awareness, compassion, and social justice, which are important topics for all global citizens living in a diverse society.

The High School will be hosting a series of events and activities throughout the month that we would love to extend to the larger community.  We will be focusing on building a clearer picture of what Black History looks like in Argentina.
