LINCOLN ALUMNI REUNITED IN MADRID

One of our high school counselors met with a group of former learners in Spain to share tapas, get updated on everyone’s lives, reminisce about their time at Lincoln, and develop networking!

It’s true what they say. If there is an airport, there’s a chance you may meet a Lincoln alumni! On this occasion, there was no meet-and-greet in transition but a special reunion in Spain. 

In May, one of our high school counselors, Douglas Dworak, traveled to Madrid and Segovia as part of a counselor visit to IE University, representing Lincoln. Over the last five years, our school has strengthened its relationship with EI, with many of our graduates continuing their upper studies there. 

With the right time and place, our community quickly connected! In Madrid, a group of former learners met with Mr. Dworak at a bar to share tapas, get updates on everyone’s lives, reminisce about their time at Lincoln, and develop networking! 

As Mr. Dworak shared, there was a special moment that evening. One of our former students was finishing his law degree and had concerns about how to tackle the next steps of his career. That’s when one of our older graduates with already years of experience as a lawyer took the role of counselor and colleague. 

It was magical to see. Even among different generations of graduates, we still find the empathy and the companionship that is part of the Lincoln spirit.
