Elementary Construction Reaches New Heights

The new elementary school building is rapidly taking shape while interior framing begins on the lower levels. 

The new elementary school building is gaining height! We are on our way to having a more open, modern, and accessible new four-level building featuring elevators, ramps, and stairs on all floors. Students will enjoy inspiring river views from their classrooms and also have an improved playground, along with brand new multipurpose and collaboration areas. 

The building is more than halfway to its full height. Having already completed the first-floor slab, we expect the entire concrete frame to be finished in about five weeks. After that, work will begin on the second-floor roof, followed by the installation of the inverted dome structure that will cover the central courtyard. We expect the bulk of all this structural work to be finished by late July or early August. 

Meanwhile, the building's interior is already coming to life, starting where the kindergarteners will soon learn and play. Teams are framing out the classroom bathrooms, running the essential plumbing through the walls, and mapping out the network of wiring that will soon power the lights, safety systems, and sound.
