Over the month, Lincoln’s Condor Crafters eSports team competed in the Americas eSports League, an international Minecraft Capture the Flag competition organized by Daigon and featuring schools from across South America and the Bahamas. After four weeks of league play beginning on April 14, our Condors capped off the season with an outstanding performance, earning 1st Place in the Grade 7 and Below Division on Saturday, May 23.

A Fantastic Season of Growth and Teamwork

Throughout the league season, students met several times each week at lunch to practice strategies, improve communication, and prepare for matches against schools from across the region. Their commitment, ingenuity, and enthusiasm were evident from the very first match through the championship finals.

Competing online in a fast-paced Minecraft Capture the Flag environment requires much more than gaming skill. Learners needed to collaborate under pressure, adapt quickly, communicate effectively, and support one another throughout every match. It was wonderful to watch the team grow more confident and connected each week of the competition.

Thank You to Our Families and Students

A special thank you goes to our students and families for their support throughout the season. The league schedule required evening matches due to time zone differences across participating countries, along with Saturday finals competition, and we deeply appreciated everyone’s flexibility and encouragement along the way.

We are also grateful to Daigon for organizing the league and helping create meaningful opportunities for students to connect, compete, and collaborate with peers from international schools throughout the Americas.

Most importantly, we are proud of how our Condors represented Lincoln through their teamwork, sportsmanship, resilience, and positive attitude during every match.
