Technology tools, systems and processes are used effectively by all staff to support organizational efficiency and professional accountability

 


2020-2021

  • Introduction of new school information system (Powerschool).
    Introduction of a new learning management system (Schoology).

2021-2022

  • Continued training and support for staff on the use of Powerschool (school-wide SIS) and Schoology (LMS).
  • External audit of technology systems and inventory.
  • Clarification of job roles and responsibilities in DoIT team to consider support for school-wide systems.
  • Google training offered for all staff (academic and support staff).

2022-2023

  • 1 year assignment of outside support to continue implementation, support and configuration of reports in our school SIS.
  • Sent member of DoIT team for training with PS university.
  • Inventory of DoIT resources and procedures for control of inventory introduced.
  • Introduction of SchoolsBuddy to manage our ASA program sign-ups and communication.
  • Introduction of an electronic attendance system (with staff swipe cards).

2023-2024

  • Electronic attendance system with staff swipe cards expanded to external providers using DNI cards. The system is used by both HR and Security.
  • Google training offered for all staff (academic and support staff) through AMISA and NivelA.
  • Restructured wireless network to increase security and provide a separate SSID for school Chromebooks (Lincoln Devices). 
  • Chromebook management software purchased and implemented providing increased control, monitoring, and enhanced user features such as texting apps - NWEA MAP, WIDA, SAT.
