  • Streamlined the process for faculty to request PD funds for greater accessibility and transparency. Clarity regarding the allocation of PD funding, ensuring that requests align with strategic priorities.
  • Greater faculty input on selection of consultants and areas of focus, as well as guidance on the planning process and reflection.

2022-2023

  • Proactive Communication and Planning for Professional Development: Recommend early and clear communication about the Professional Development (PD) plan for next year, ensuring faculty are informed and engaged. Proactively plan for the use of consultants and collaborative PD efforts across different divisions to maximize the impact.
  • Focused leadership skill development among teacher leaders and other informal leaders, to create a culture of continuous improvement and leadership development.
  • Established a parallel process for support staff to request PD funds, ensuring all staff have access to growth opportunities.

2023-2024

  • Created and published a professional development landing page highlighting our philosophy, annual development plan, specific learning focal points for the year, and application process,Designed and shared a professional development plan based on NEASC recommendations.
