  • Initiated actions focused on belonging, including intercultural awareness training, listening circles for community feedback, and creating a team to prioritize actions for the upcoming school year.

2022-2023

  • Prioritized formalizing its commitment to Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, (JEDI) by recommending a written statement and outlining specific actions to guide this work.
  • Established a new JEDI team to lead initiatives and drive continuous listening, learning, and improvement in fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment.
  • Enhanced the sense of belonging within the community by addressing inclusion through continuous actions, guided by feedback and leadership from the DEIJ team.

2023-2024

  • Facilitated open dialogue for local staff to address economic concerns in a safe space.
  • Provided ongoing communication about tax changes from HR.
  • Engaged JEDI student representatives to empower student voices.
  • Conducted a Board Retreat focused on innovation and inclusion.
  • Participated in ISS Anti-Discrimination Recruitment professional development for SLT.

2024-2025

  • Orientation Presentations on Safe Workplace Agreements.
  • Local Consultant to work with SLT and Faculty on Cultural Sensitivity and Conflict Resolution in a Multicultural Environment.
