There is a cohesive school wide approach to community service and service learning that supports student-led initiatives as well as school-led partnerships, providing opportunities to build cultural connections both locally and globally

 


2020-2021

  • While Service Learning was put on hold due to pandemic, the addition of Agent of Change as an ALL to provide a framework  to develop our service learning program. 

2021-2022

  • Student clubs, such as El Ceibo, Student Council and National Honor Society and EcoClub, focus on developing local connections and practicing service learning. 

2022-2023

  • Student clubs, such as El Ceibo, Student Council and National Honor Society and EcoClub, focus on developing local connections and practicing service learning. 

2023-2024

  • Service Learning Passion Group established to work on goals and action plans for Service Learning. 
  • Service Learning identified through the NEASC self-study and visit as an area to grow and something that should be a school wide focus. 
  • Inspire Citizens contracted to work with Lincoln with a multi-year contract to help us develop our service learning.

2024-2025

  • Creation of curriculum document to capture and record service learning embedded in curriculum. Service Learning is now being taught in our existing curriculum, with the support of Inspire Citizens to build and/or adapt units. 
  • Creation of a Service Learning handbook.
  • Creation of a common definition of service learning and service learning cycle.
