Every student is supported in their overall well-being and both social and emotional skills are valued and intentionally taught

 


2020-2021

  • Counseling program expanded to support two counselors in ES, one in MS, and two in HS, to ensure the social and emotional learning program. 
  • Counseling timetabled in ES classes, ensuring all students have social emotional skills explicitly taught. 

2021-2022

  • Scope and sequence for Social and Emotional Learning, Health and Wellness, Social and Emotional Development, and Comprehensive Sex Education.
  • Adopted a research based, vertically articulated  curriculum for advisory programs (ES:Second Step, MS & HS:Character Strong).
  • Integration of SEL into their day to day instruction as well as subject area curriculum. 
  • Complete the K-12 vertical scope and sequence of social emotional learning curriculum in addition to a comprehensive sexual health education curriculum. 

2022-2023

  • Appointed two new Designated Safeguarding Leads and reviewed and updated the professional learning plan for Safeguarding, updated the procedures and systems, and socialized the handbook on child safeguarding.
  • A shift was made to the health curriculum in Middle School/HIgh School, with the creation of combined PE/Health Course using Shape Standards.

2023-2024

  • Adopted CPOMS: Secure reporting and tracking system.
