2020-2021

  • A long-term commitment exists to becoming an inclusive school, with respect to educational practices as well as justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.

2021-2022

  • Established SENIA membership and hosted a community virtual conference, joining an international professional development network for students with needs.
  • Opened the Life Centered Education (LCE) and hired an LCE teacher to support students with complex needs.
  • Adapted buses for wheelchair accessibility.
  • Equipped the Wellness Centre with an electric bed.
  • Conducted sensory and motor consultations (OT).
  • Shared the 90-Day JEDI Action Plan and engaged faculty through consultant listening circles and reports.

2022-2023

  • Integrated sensory and motor support with speech development initiatives.
  • Enhanced accessibility of the ES playground and art classes.
  • Delivered professional development (PD) on inclusion, differentiation, MTSS, RTI, FBA, and the Wilson Reading Program.
  • Change to Strategic Plan language for this objective was adopted: It was: “A long-term commitment exists to becoming an inclusive school and serving a managed number of students representing the full range of learning differences and language diversity” and  it became: ”A long-term commitment exists to becoming an inclusive school with respect to educational practices as well as justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion”.

2023-2024

  • Conducted a program review with Pathways to Inclusive Education.
  • Evaluated the admissions philosophy.
  • Facilitated professional development (PD) on Read & Write tools.

2024-2025

  • Developed the Student Support Services Action Plan.
  • Delivered professional development (PD) on MTSS, UDL, co-teaching, and behavioral therapy, in collaboration with SENIA Nido to enhance understanding of behavior.
  • Conducted EAL action research and organized a symposium.
  • Diversity Week Learning activities/ Continued PD/ Staff Survey.
