Lincoln has integrated  Argentine requirements to have one cohesive curriculum

2020-2021

  • In Middle School/High School, Spanish teachers became members of the “Social Studies/Sociales” team, the “Language Acquisition/Lengua” team, and “Literature/Literatura” team rather than as a separate team. This allows for collaboration with both US and Argentine standards in mind.

2021-2022

  • We have aligned Social Sciences and Language & Literature units in Spanish and English, incorporating Argentine requirements and C3 standards, and are adapting Reading/Writing Workshop elements into the Spanish Literacy Program.
  • We provided targeted professional development for both English and Spanish teachers, resulting in common curricular agreements for literacy instruction across languages.
  • Middle School students meet Argentine curricular requirements in a bilingual setting, while High School students engage with the Argentine National Program through specific courses and integrated topics in various subjects.

2022-2023

  • The evaluation of the strategic plan leads to the change in the language of this objective, changing from “seamless” to “cohesive”, showing a more nuanced understanding of the challenges and opportunities of integrating the two curriculums into a “Lincoln Curriculum”

2023-2024

  • National Program Coordinators now work with the Director of Teaching and Learning, to manage the K-12 alignment of the Lincoln learning program.
  • Proposal of Lincoln proposing an innovative project approach to our curriculum.
