Faculty use contemporary approaches to integrating technology into instructional practices to enhance learning
 


2020-2021

  • Adoption of the ISTE Standards (International Society for Technology in Education)  for Information Literacy and Design classes. 
  • Support all faculty in transitioning to hybrid and online learning environments during pandemic response. 
  • Review of existing Learning Management and Student Information Systems and began a transition to new Powerschool-driven systems. 
     

2021-2022

  • Lincoln has  transitioned to a Bring-Your-Own-Device school for Grades Five through High School, while also equipping Elementary School students with ChromeBooks and iPads, effectively integrating technology into both curricular areas and as separate subjects.
  • Elementary School students benefit from technology integration through NGSS standards. 
  • In Middle and High School, Lincoln has designed a Design and Technology curriculum, offering courses such as Introduction to Computer Science, Hardware and Networking, Programming, Robotics, 3D Modeling, and Video Design, and providing students with advanced learning tools like laser cutters, 3D printers, Bebots robots, and LEGO STEAM Duplo.
     

2022-2023

  • Expanded technology offerings as part of our design and technology program in middle school/high school.
  • Expanded maker space equipment and spaces to allow for future technology integration.
  • Students and faculty engaged in panel discussion on the topic of Artificial Intelligence and education.

2023-2024

  • Hired a Director of Technology to lead and oversee the operational and educational aspects of technology integration. 
  • IB Diploma Computer Science adopted due to student interest. 
  • The development and application of skills is embedded within our core curriculum. Examples include the discussions of AI in our Theory of Knowledge philosophy classes and the data collection and visualization in our science labs.
  • Students from all divisions had the opportunity to showcase their tech creations before the Lincoln Board of Governors. The presentations highlighted a range of innovative projects across different grade levels.
