Thorpe and Mathias
Dear Parents,
We will be hosting the Thorpe and Mathias Swimming Meet this year for our 4th and 5th Graders on Thursday March 1st 2012 ,from 12:30 to 3:10. This is a competition that started in LINCOLN in 1956 with “Señora” Granitto y “Profe” Laurita. The Thorpe and Mathias Swimming Meet is part of the Lincoln Physical Education Department history and has been held continuously since that time.
In 1972, the swimming pool was built at Lincoln School and the physical education department started the Thorpe & Mathias Swimming Meets.
We are excited to provide this opportunity to our students so they can learn more about tournaments and experience the fun of these activities.
All activities will be at pool.
