The creation of the Ecological Reserve of Vicente Lopez dates to March 1938 as a necessity for the conservation of the flora, the fauna and the environments of the Plate River coast. Under its actual format however, the reserve was inaugurated December 29, 2000 and is taken care of by the municipality of Vicente Lopez. This work began taking place in the year 1993 with the sanction of an ordinance that the executive department gave to subscribe Lincoln School with an agreement of reciprocal collaboration, signed June 23rd 2000, the definitive pact that gave initial to the congregation of the final project.
