The 8th grade Middle School Class of 2007/2008, spent a fabulous week in La Lucena, Cordoba from Feb.19th-22. The students were accompanied by Mr. Morris, Mr. Bohnen, Mr. Lewis, Ms. Blanco, Ms. Ulett and the trip organizer, Ms. Masson. A great time was had by all.
Students spent the week hiking in the Sierras, learning about sustainable resource management, indigenous plants and animals, water cycles and positive ways to manage and impact the environment. Some highlights included river studies, compass scavenger hunts, journaling in beautiful settings, the girl’s camp out, campfire, initiative tasks, tree planting and much more!
Despite the slight delay on the way home, the experience was unforgettable and educational all at the same time. A special thanks must go out to Peter Dunn and his knowledgeable and capable staff.
Grade sevens you have a lot to look forward to!
