Welcome to Lincoln Elementary School.
Lincoln Elementary is a wonderful school with an excellent faculty made up of qualified teachers working in both English and Spanish. We have the privilege to educate children from Grades Kinder 4 to Grade 5. Our core curriculum is based on and linked to U.S. standards, including textbooks and objectives. Its focus in on child centered, developmentally appropriate learning. Our Spanish Language Program, meeting the national requirements of the Argentine Educational Ministry, offers a multi-leveled intensive program to satisfy all the needs of our students. Instruction ranges from beginning Spanish Language Learners (SLL) to instruction for native Spanish language speakers.
Our English Language Learning (ELL) program is both inclusive (ELL teacher assisting a student in the child's classroom) and pull-out (student spends time in an ELL classroom). We welcome students who are developing their English language skills as well as students who are new to the English language.
In addition, we have a very effective Learning Center where students receive assistance in integrating strategies for assimilating content as well as for problem solving. The important areas of Art, Music and Physical Education (including two swimming seasons) are also included in our regular curriculum. Our After School Activity Program is both fun and popular. The Elementary computer program integrates technology into our curriculum. Teachers and students access the latest technology in the computer lab or within their own classroom via available computer laptop labs. Our PTO is active, enthusiastic, hard-working, and fun. New families are welcomed so thoroughly and thoughtfully that before they know it, they begin feeling the comfort of belonging. Lincoln School wouldn't be what it is without the help and support of our PTO.
