Services are available in the Learning Center for qualifying students in grades K-5. Typically, the Lincoln Elementary School Learning Center can provide support for students with mild to moderate learning differences. Services may range from the least restrictive environment (monitoring the student by helping the classroom teacher with the classroom/curricular modifications or accommodations) to services involving the most direct intervention (pull-out remediation in the Learning Center).

Students may receive assistance either by being identified by the Learning Center after referral by a parent or teacher, or by having received special services at a previous school. If the student is identified as needing assistance at Lincoln, a referral process is followed in order to develop an appropriate program. After admission, if a student has been receiving special services before attending Lincoln, he or she may automatically receive Learning Center assistance without going through the referral process so long as the parents submit the necessary documentation of the student's specialized needs. IEPīs (Individual Education Plan) are developed for students with specific academic goals as well as possible classroom modifications and/or accommodations. Parents receive progress reports each quarter and annual IEP meetings are held so that goals can be updated.
