Education at Lincoln is enhanced by the diversity of the student body. Lincoln’s enrollment is 30% North American, 18% Argentine, 7% dual-nationality and 45% composed of forty other nationalities. These students come together as the Lincoln community in many encounters which go beyond the formal classroom and enrich the school experience.
Through their Student Councils in Middle and High School, Lincoln students engage in self-government. Community Service is also an ongoing part of life at Lincoln for all divisions. Our adopted school, in the Province of Chaco, offers students an opportunity to help those less fortunate.
Each year high school students visit the Chaco area, taking gifts and school supplies, playing with and working on behalf of the children. Throughout the year, groups of students visit orphanages in the greater Buenos Aires area with clothing, gifts, and time to play. Lincoln International students also support worldwide cries for help after natural disasters and support annual humanitarian efforts, for example, the 24-hour Fast for UNICEF.
Lincoln Theatre performs numerous plays each year of widely different styles, providing students, faculty, and parents the opportunity to work within the various dramatic forms as individuals, as members of a small group, and as a part of a whole.
The Choral Program at Lincoln is an ever-expanding, active part of the school, consisting of three middle school choral groups and two high school choral groups, the Select Choir and the Concert Choir. High School Choral Groups have a concert in October, major productions in December and May, and a combined band/choir tour in April.
The Middle School Choirs have two major concerts per year as well as performing for assemblies. Two middle and two high school bands welcome musicians of all abilities and also boast a full calendar of events throughout the year.
The riverside track and adjoining fields support activities as diverse as Little League and roller blading. Our Lincoln “Condors” take to the field for soccer, volleyball, and basketball, and to the pool for swimming. Students progress through activities from Scouts to Model UN preparation in other spaces around Lincoln’s busy campus.
